Description

The ROSEWOOD travel lute features a body crafted from eleven solid ROSEWOOD staves, a ROSEWOOD neck, and a ROSEWOOD fingerboard. The peg box is constructed from solid ROSEWOOD, angled at 135 degrees to minimize the instrument’s depth. The tuning pegs and end pin are made of ROSEWOOD. The soundboard is crafted from European spruce. The instrument is equipped with eight nylon frets and four ROSEWOOD frets. The recommended tuning, an 8-course G4, D4/D4, A3/A3, F3/F3, C4/C3, G3/G2, F3/F2, D3/D2, provides a warm and resonant classical tone.

Historically, lutes have utilized gut strings. However, contemporary lute strings are meticulously crafted from nylon, ensuring exceptional precision. The silverplated copper wound nylon bass strings also impart a rich and classical tone. We recommend the traditional Renaissance tuning for this set.
