The instrument’s body is crafted from alternating staves of maple and ebony, resulting in a matte finish. The soundboard is made of spruce. The neck is constructed of maple with an ebony inlay on its sides. The frets on the neck are made of tied nylon and are evenly spaced over 10 frets. The tuning pegs are made of satinwood. The instrument has four courses of strings, each consisting of two nylon strings. The bridge is made of lacewood with an ebony top, and the ornate lacewood “Mustache” stands out against the light spruce soundboard. Additionally, the soundboard is adorned with black ebony purfling. The nut is made of camel bone. The instrument has a single sound hole in the centre of the soundboard, which is exceptionally ornate and covered with embroidery of goat skin and ebony. The tuning strings are tuned to A4, E4, C4, G3, and G4.
