This exquisite six-course oud boasts a classic tear-drop shape and bowl bottom. It is crafted from a combination of woods, including rosewood, spruce, and bone. The body and neck are made of rosewood, while the bowl features white pinstripes between each wooden stave. The neck and tuning pegs are also crafted from rosewood. The soundboard is made of spruce wood and features three round-shaped sound holes, one larger in the centre and two smaller ones on the sides. A rosewood pick guard is positioned at the bottom to protect the soundboard from scratches during playing.
This oud is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and selection of woods used in its construction. It offers a wide range of tuning options, but we recommend using the Arabic method: DGADGC. The oud possesses a remarkable range spanning over three octaves.
The oud is the primary instrument of Arabic music and holds significant cultural importance throughout the Middle East.
