Description

This an Deluxe 8-Course Lute for the right-handed player. There are 4 nylon wound strings and 11 rectified nylon strings in seven courses of two strings and a single chaterelle, for the highest sounding string. The bowl is constructed of 25 scalloped staves that offer a dramatic appearance; alternating between the deep black colored ebony and the light cream-colored lacewood with white pinstripes between. The thin, solid spruce, soundboard has a natural finish, and a thin ebony purfling accenting the edge. Internal bracing supports the soundboard and the intricately carved rosette sound-hole. The mustache is lacewood and the top bridge of ebony adds elegance and strength. The neck is lacewood, with a solid ebony fingerboard. There are 8 nylon frets tied to the neck and 4 partial wood frets inlaid to the soundboard of the Deluxe 8-Course Lute. The sharply angled head has 15 ebony pegs and is decorated with leaf-and-vine inlay on the underside. There is an end-peg, to which you can attach your own shoulder strap.
